As a clinical psychologist, I incorporate scientific principles, theoretical knowledge, and clinical experience
into the understanding, prevention and alleviation of psychological distress or dysfunction,
while fostering a sense of well-being and personal growth.
—
During our sessions, we will discuss any emotional, mental, and behavioural issues in your life.
My traditional role as the psychologist is to identify any existing or potential disorders through
observation, consultations, and assessments.
—
However, my focus is on the human … first & foremost.
I generally take a client-centered, humanistic, solution-focused approach to therapy,
with elements of CBT, DBT, Mindfulness,
and Positive Psychology.
—
In collaboration with you, we will develop a treatment programme tailored to your needs.
Together, we will regularly monitor your progress to ensure that your challenges are addressed,
with any necessary adjustments along the way.

It’s important to understand that therapy may not always be a straightforward or comfortable experience, though it can offer profound rewards over time. Many people find that as they become more open and engaged in the process, their experiences in therapy improve significantly. Each session may reveal new insights about yourself and your challenges, leading to healing and personal growth. Patience and commitment to the journey are essential, as the benefits of therapy often unfold gradually, allowing you to uncover layers of understanding that can enhance your overall well-being.
Sometimes … it is simply the safe, sensitive, supportive space we may need. -
Sure.
Some concerns are handled
using a brief solution-focused approach,
which may only require a couple of sessions.
Others come in to explore
life decisions or existential topics.
This generally requires more of a
practical coaching approach.

This question often haunts those seeking therapy. It reflects a universal fear of judgement regarding one’s thoughts and feelings. However, therapy offers no judgement; it is a sanctuary in which the individual can express themselves without criticism. The therapist-client relationship is founded on trust and respect.
Thus, the answer is “no”. Therapy thrives on acceptance and support allowing clients to embark on self-discovery with the assurance of respect and understanding at every step. -
One of my favourite sayings is
“nothing changes if nothing changes”.
Goals are essential to the
therapeutic process, and we will work together … to define, adjust and achieve your goals. -

It is important to note that it generally does take a few sessions to get going … in terms of the process of psychotherapy AND building up of the therapeutic alliance itself.
